A studio shaped
by water.
Since 1990 we have designed and built fountains, swimming pools, and multimedia water features for landmark buildings, public realms and private estates. Our New York studio brings that 35-year craft to North America — from concept and hydraulic engineering through to lifetime service.
Three decades
of moving water.
Dexdee was founded on a simple idea — that water, treated with the same rigor as architecture, can transform a building from a structure into a place. We've been refining that idea, project by project, ever since.

We design displays for landmark sites — civic plazas, hotel forecourts, corporate atriums, private estates and gardens. Each is illuminated, choreographed, and calibrated for the place it lives in.
The earth's crust is roughly sixty percent water. So is the human body. No civilization has survived without it. Water features, at their best, are how a building celebrates that fact — quietly, through the geometry of a still pool, or theatrically, through a 30-meter choreographed jet.
Our New York studio is small by intent. Every Dexdee project is led by a senior designer and supported by an in-house hydraulic engineering team. We design, fabricate, install, and service — under one roof, with no handoffs.
Our installations are found in front of hotel lobbies, in airport atriums, on private rooftops on Park Avenue, and in the courtyards of cultural institutions. They are, almost without exception, still running.
Start a projectFour principles,
one craft.
Every project we take on — from a $40,000 lobby piece to a multi-million dollar civic plaza — is held to the same four standards.
Engineered, not decorated.
Hydraulics, filtration and electrical are designed before the visual. Water that misbehaves is not a fountain — it's a leak. We start with engineering and work outward.
Built for New York.
Sub-freezing winters, salt air, summer humidity. Our specifications, materials and finishes are chosen for the conditions our installations actually live in — not a brochure.
Quiet by default.
A great fountain is felt before it is heard. Pump rooms are acoustically treated, jets are tuned, and lighting is integrated — not bolted on. The result reads as effortless.
Serviced for life.
We don't disappear after handover. Every Dexdee installation comes with a service plan and 24/7 support. Many of our 1990 installations are still running — we maintain them ourselves.
One studio, end to end.
Concept, hydraulic engineering, fabrication, install and maintenance happen under one roof. There are no handoffs — which means there is no one to point at when something needs to be made right.
The right scale, never more.
The largest water feature is not always the best one. We are equally proud of a 14-inch tabletop bowl as we are of a 30-meter jet array. The discipline is fitting the gesture to the site.
A timeline,
in water.
A short selection of moments in the studio's 35-year history.
- 1990 Studio founded Dexdee opens its first studio with a focus on outdoor fountains for civic and hospitality clients. Becomes authorised partner to Oase GmbH the same year.
- 1998 First multimedia fountain Choreographed water + light + sound installation delivered for a flagship hotel forecourt — the studio's first venture into programmable performance water.
- 2007 Swimming pool division Hospitality-grade swimming pool and spa division established. First infinity-edge rooftop pool delivered for a five-star property.
- 2014 Mobile fountain rentals Self-contained mobile fountain fleet launched for galas, brand activations and weddings — the studio's first product line.
- 2019 600th installation Six hundredth Dexdee water feature delivered. The first — commissioned in 1991 — is still operating, on its original pumps, under our service contract.
- 2024 New York studio opens Dexdee Fountains and Greenpoint workshop open, bringing in-house design, fabrication and service to the North American market.
A small studio,
by design.
We keep our team intentionally small — about a dozen designers, engineers and craftspeople. Every project is led by a senior team member from concept to lifetime maintenance.
Have a place that
could use water?
We work on commissions of every scale, from tabletop bowls to civic plazas. Tell us about the site — we'll come back with first thoughts within a week.
